You know the feeling...

Maybe anxiety shows up as overthinking decisions, difficulty being present, or a tendency to catastrophize. Maybe it looks like perfectionism, people-pleasing, or staying busy so you don’t have to sit with uncertainty. Or maybe it just feels like exhaustion — because managing it all takes so much energy. Whatever it looks like for you, you don’t have to keep managing it alone.

Your mind is already three steps ahead, running through every possible outcome, preparing for things that haven’t happened yet.

You’re capable and competent, but underneath that there’s a quiet hum of worry that never fully goes away.

If any of these feel familiar, anxiety therapy can help.

Anxiety doesn’t always look the way people expect.

What This Can Look Like

A sense that you have to stay on top of everything to feel okay

Avoiding situations that feel uncertain or overwhelming

Feeling on edge, irritable, or unable to fully relax.

Physical symptoms like tension, poor sleep, or a racing heart.

For many of our clients it shows up as:

Difficulty making decisions or second-guessing yourself

Constant ‘what if’ thinking that’s hard to switch off.

Anxiety therapy at MovAttune isn’t about eliminating worry altogether.

Anxiety therapy at MovAttune isn’t about eliminating worry altogether — some anxiety is useful and worth keeping. Instead, we help you understand what’s driving your anxiety, when it’s helpful and when it’s getting in the way, and how to build a different relationship with uncertainty and discomfort.

Our approach is collaborative and evidence-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other approaches tailored to you. We work at your pace — building insight, developing practical strategies, and helping you move toward a life that feels less controlled by worry and more aligned with what matters to you.

How We Can Help

Start the Conversation

We often work with thoughtful, motivated adults who:

Who this is for:

Have been struggling with worry, overthinking, or anxiety for a while and are ready to understand it better

Want more than just coping strategies — you want to understand the patterns underneath

Are looking for a thoughtful, evidence-based approach that treats you as an active participant in your own care

Are functioning well on the outside but feel exhausted by the effort it takes

Are based in Calgary or anywhere in Alberta and can attend sessions in person or virtually

From there, your psychologist will work with you to develop a plan that’s tailored to your specific situation. Sessions are 50 minutes and are available in person in Calgary or virtually across Alberta. Most clients begin to notice meaningful shifts within 8-12 sessions, though the pace and length of therapy varies depending on your goals and needs.

Anxiety therapy at MovAttune typically begins with one or two sessions to understand your history, goals, and what anxiety looks like in your life.
