Maybe you’ve read about ADHD and recognized yourself in almost every description. Maybe a partner, colleague, or doctor has suggested it. Maybe you’ve suspected it for years but never quite taken the step to find out for certain. An ADHD assessment can give you something you may have been missing for a long time — a clear, evidence-based answer. And with that answer comes something equally important: a way forward that actually makes sense for how your brain works.

Why does everyone else seem to manage things that feel impossibly hard for you?

Why does focus feel so effortful? Why do you keep dropping the ball on things that matter to you, despite genuinely trying?

You’ve spent years wondering.

At MovAttune, ADHD assessments are conducted by Dr. Daniela Gonzalez, a registered neuropsychologist with specialized training and experience in ADHD evaluation.

The assessment typically includes:
  • A comprehensive clinical interview exploring your history, current challenges, and daily functioning
  • Standardized rating scales and questionnaires
  • Collateral interview with family members (if available and applicable)
  • Cognitive and neuropsychological testing where indicated
  • A detailed written report with findings, diagnosis where applicable, and recommendations for next steps

The process is thorough — because getting an accurate picture takes time, and you deserve a clear answer, not a rushed one.

An ADHD assessment is a comprehensive evaluation conducted by a registered psychologist to determine whether your history is consistent with ADHD, how it’s showing up in your life, and what that means for your treatment and support.

What Is an ADHD Assessment?

What This Can Look Like

START THE CONVERSATION

Dr. Gonzalez can help you figure that out when you reach out — there’s no obligation to commit to a particular option before having that conversation.

Not sure which option is right for you?

Brief ADHD Assessment

A more focused evaluation for adults whose presentation is relatively straightforward and who are primarily seeking diagnostic clarity about ADHD only, and who do not need a comprehensive report.

Comprehensive ADHD Assessment

Recommended when a complete picture is needed — for complex presentations, workplace or academic accommodations, or when other conditions may be present alongside ADHD.

A thorough evaluation including a clinical interview, collateral interview with a family member (if available), and completion of standardized assessment measures. The results, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations for next steps are detailed in a comprehensive report.

Assessment Options:

At MovAttune, we recognize that a full comprehensive assessment isn’t always necessary — or accessible. Dr. Gonzalez offers two assessment options depending on your situation and needs.

What the Assessment Can Help With

Some reasons to seek an ADHD assessment:

Need formal documentation for workplace accommodations

Your treating physician is recommending an assessment prior to starting medication treatment

Want to know definitively whether ADHD explains the challenges you’ve been experiencing

Need documentation for academic accommodations at a post-secondary institution

Have been previously assessed but want an updated or more comprehensive evaluation

Why ADHD Often Goes Undiagnosed

How We Can Help

Many adults with ADHD have spent decades being told they just need to try harder, be more organized, or focus better. ADHD also looks different in adults than in children — and different again in women compared to men. The hyperactive child climbing the walls is rarely what adult ADHD looks like. More often it looks like chronic underperformance despite real effort, difficulty sustaining relationships or careers, emotional dysregulation, or a persistent sense of not living up to your potential. If you’ve wondered whether ADHD might be part of your story, it’s worth finding out.

ADHD can go unrecognized — particularly in people who are intelligent, high-achieving, or who have developed sophisticated coping strategies over the years.

A Note on Assessments and Therapy

Some clients come for an assessment and find that the clarity it provides is enough to move forward on their own. Others may consider participating in a targeted intervention to address ADHD specific concerns.

At MovAttune, we offer both — so whatever you need next, we can support you in figuring that out.

ADHD assessments are typically conducted over 2-3 sessions. Following the assessment, you will receive a detailed written report that you can use for treatment planning, workplace accommodations, academic accommodations, or your own understanding. To get started, please contact Dr. Gonzalez directly to discuss availability, fees, and next steps.
