You’re intelligent, capable, and genuinely want to follow through.

Maybe you’ve always been this way — told you just need to try harder, be more organized, or stop getting distracted. Maybe you’ve developed workarounds that mostly work, until they don’t. Or maybe you’ve recently been diagnosed with ADHD and are still figuring out what that means for you. ADHD in adults looks different than most people expect — and it affects far more than focus.

But somehow tasks pile up, deadlines sneak up on you, and the gap between what you intend to do and what actually gets done feels impossible to close.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and you’re not lazy, unmotivated, or incapable.

ADHD doesn’t always look the way people expect.

What This Can Look Like

For many of our clients it shows up as:

A restless or racing mind that’s hard to quiet.

Emotional sensitivity or difficulty managing frustration.
.

Strong bursts of focus on things you love — and near-inability to focus on things you don’t.

Anxiety, low mood, or burnout layered on top of ADHD challenges.

Difficulty starting tasks, especially ones that feel boring or overwhelming.

A chronic sense of underperforming despite real effort and ability.

A disconnected relationship with time — underestimating how long things take, missing deadlines, or feeling like time just disappears.

ADHD therapy at MovAttune is about more than strategies and tips.

We help you understand how your brain works — because with ADHD, the challenge is rarely about knowing what to do. It’s about being able to do it consistently, in the moment, when it matters. We help you identify what gets in the way, and build systems and habits that actually fit your life — not someone else’s.

Our approach draws from evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for ADHD (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and psychoeducation. We also work on the emotional side of ADHD — the self-criticism, the shame, and the years of feeling like you should be doing better. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have known about your ADHD for years, therapy can help you move from surviving to genuinely thriving.

ADHD Assessments

If you’re wondering whether ADHD might explain some of your struggles but haven’t yet received a formal diagnosis, we also offer comprehensive ADHD assessments for adults through Dr. Daniela Gonzalez, our registered neuropsychologist.

An assessment can provide clarity, a formal diagnosis where applicable, and documentation for workplace or academic accommodations. Some clients choose to begin with an assessment before starting therapy. Others come directly for therapy. Either path is welcome at MovAttune.

BOOK AN ASSESSMENT

ADHD therapy typically begins with one or two sessions to understand your history, challenges, and goals. Sessions are 50 minutes and are available in person in Calgary or virtually across Alberta.
