A psychodiagnostic assessment is designed to answer the questions that have been quietly sitting in the background. What’s actually going on? Is there a diagnosis that explains this? And most importantly — what’s the most effective path forward for me specifically? Getting a clear picture changes everything.

Or maybe you’ve been in therapy for a while and feel like something important is still missing from the picture.

You’ve been struggling in ways that feel hard to explain, and the strategies you’ve tried haven’t quite landed.

Sometimes you just know something is off — but you can’t quite name it.

At MovAttune, psychodiagnostic assessments are conducted by Dr. Daniela Gonzalez, a registered neuropsychologist with specialized training in psychological assessment.

The assessment typically includes:
  • A comprehensive clinical interview exploring your history, current challenges, and daily functioning
  • Standardized questionnaires and rating scales
  • Cognitive and neuropsychological testing where indicated
  • Collateral information where relevant and available
  • A detailed written report with findings, diagnosis where applicable, and recommendations for treatment and support

A psychodiagnostic assessment is a comprehensive evaluation to better understand how you think, feel, and function — and to identify any underlying conditions that may be contributing to your difficulties.

The Value of Getting Assessed

How We Can Help

A clear diagnosis doesn’t define you — but it can give you language for your experience, validate struggles that may have been dismissed, and open doors to supports and treatments that are actually matched to what’s going on. For many of our clients, getting assessed is one of the most clarifying and relieving things they’ve ever done.

Many adults spend years — sometimes decades — struggling without understanding why. A psychodiagnostic assessment can end that cycle.

Psychodiagnostic assessments at MovAttune are conducted exclusively by Dr. Daniela Gonzalez, a registered neuropsychologist with specialized training in psychological and neuropsychological assessment.

A Note on Assessments and Therapy

A psychodiagnostic assessment and therapy are complementary — not mutually exclusive. Some clients come for an assessment first and then move into therapy with a clearer roadmap. Others are already in therapy and come for an assessment to fill in missing pieces.

At MovAttune, we offer both — so whatever combination of support makes the most sense for you, we can help you figure that out.

Psychodiagnostic assessments are typically conducted over 2-3 sessions. Following the assessment, you will receive a detailed written report that you can use for treatment planning, workplace or academic accommodations, or your own understanding. To get started, please contact Dr. Gonzalez directly to discuss your situation, fees, and availability. Please note that Dr. Gonzalez manages her own intake and scheduling separately from the general practice.
